Membership
Membership in Temple SamuEl Or Olom
is open to all individuals of the Jewish faith who
subscribe to the beliefs of the Conservative movement.
We are fully egalitarian, meaning that women participate
in all aspects of our religious services, usually wear
kipot during services, and many wear tallisim. We have
membership categories for under age 35, 35-64, and over
age 65 singles and couples, plus categories for
interfaith couples. Persons of other faiths are welcome
at our services and are often invited to lead English
readings and open and close the Ark.

Dues includes non-reserved High
Holiday seats for members and their dependent children
ages 13-24. Reserved seats are available for a surcharge
of $100 per seat for members and their dependent
children ages 13-24. Reserved or non-reserved seats for
parents, siblings, and children ages 25 and older of
members are available for $200 each. Prior to obtaining
seat tickets, members are expected to have paid any
balances due on their account from prior years, at least
50% of current year’s dues (with the remainder due by
December 1), 100% of seating charges, and any
educational fees which are due. Special financial
arrangements (which may include dues reductions or
monthly payments charged to a credit card) are available
based on need following a meeting with a member of the
Finance Committee.
